Cameron Willard is a Director, Commercial Management at Rise Light & Power.

Previously, Cameron was on the project finance team at NextEra Energy, where he helped close tax equity and project debt transactions totaling $2.7 billion for 3.1 GW of renewable energy projects across the US. Prior to that, Cameron was on the investment team at the New York Green Bank, making climate-focused credit investments in New York State. Before business school, Cameron worked in oil & gas investment banking in Houston.

Cameron earned an MBA from Columbia Business School and undergraduate degrees from the University of Oxford in Philosophy, Politics and Economics and the University of Bristol in English Literature.

Carol Hayden is the Director, People Operations at Rise Light & Power. She supports business operations and employee experience, ensuring the team has the resources and support they need to work effectively.

Carol has over fifteen years of operations, human resources, and personnel management experience in various industries. She most recently worked for an established New York City architecture and engineering firm, where she specialized in people operations including talent acquisition, employee relations, and diversity and inclusion efforts. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Minnesota, a certificate in Human Resources from Cornell University ILR School, and is a Society of Human Resources Certified Professional (SHRM-CP).

Clint Plummer is Chief Executive Officer at Rise Light & Power, where he oversees the company’s existing generation facility’s operations and leads the development of its new projects and strategic partnerships.

A 15-year veteran of New York’s clean energy industry, Plummer previously served as Head of Market Strategies and New Projects for Ørsted US Offshore Wind, a leading offshore wind developer. In this capacity, he secured customer agreements for more than 2GW of new offshore wind projects in New York and New Jersey. Previously, Plummer worked as Vice President of Development for Deepwater Wind, where he grew its U.S. market for offshore wind energy and positioned it as a respected and responsible market leader. From 2009 to 2011, Plummer led the pre-construction development of Deepwater Wind’s Block Island Wind Farm, the first of its kind in the U.S. In 2013, he spearheaded the company’s successful efforts to acquire the Bureau of Ocean Energy Management’s first competitively-leased offshore wind site, as well as to scope the project now known as Deepwater ONE. Additionally, Plummer drove the company’s successful efforts to secure a Power Purchase Agreement with the Long Island Power Authority for the South Fork Wind Farm, the first in New York. Plummer also led Deepwater Wind’s successful application to the Maryland Public Service Commission for the nation’s first award of Offshore Wind Renewable Energy Credits.

Plummer earned Master’s degrees in Engineering and Public Administration from Massachusetts Institute of Technology and New York University, respectively, as well as a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from The Ohio State University.

Griffin has over a decade of experience in New York’s energy industry. Prior to joining Rise, Griffin was a founding member of Con Edison Transmission, where she led the development of electric transmission projects designed to connect remote renewable generation to customers. Griffin formerly worked for Con Edison’s regulated utility, where she represented the utility in New York’s early offshore wind efforts and led the analysis for the company’s program to reduce heating oil consumption across the City. Before joining Con Edison, Griffin worked in Operations Performance at National Grid, developing and implementing post-merger process improvements across the organization.

Griffin earned an MBA from the University of Michigan’s Ross School of Business, an MS from the University of Michigan’s School of Environment and Sustainability, and a BA in English from Georgetown University.

Jamil Khan is Vice President, Asset Management at Rise Light & Power, where he manages the development of the company’s new projects and strategic partnerships.

Khan brings over a decade of high-level experience in New York’s renewable energy industry. Previously, he served as the Mid-Atlantic Project Development Director at Ørsted, where he led a multi-disciplinary team responsible for developing projects from concept through offtake agreements, including the company’s 1100 MW Ocean Wind and 880 MW Sunrise Wind projects. Khan also formerly served as a Development Manager at Deepwater Wind, where he advocated for market expansion of offshore wind energy demand in New York and New Jersey, led the expansion of the South Fork Wind Farm, and spearheaded the development of the Garden State Offshore Energy project. Prior to joining the offshore wind energy industry, Khan was Associate Manager of Policy and Business Development at Tesla and Director of Policy in New York at SolarCity, tasked with supporting energy storage and solar PV project development and policy activities in New York. Mr. Khan also served as the Program Manager at the City of New York Mayor’s Office of Long Term Planning and Sustainability under Mayor Mike Bloomberg.

Mr. Khan earned a MSE in Environmental Management and Economics and a BS in Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering from the Johns Hopkins University.

Jeff Dooley is a Senior Project Manager at Rise Light & Power. He supports technical project development and project management for the company’s portfolio of projects, including Operations & Maintenance support of the Ravenswood Generating Station.

Jeff has over 30 years of experience in Operations & Maintenance of multiple technology energy assets including cogeneration, run-of-river hydro, and onshore wind. Experience includes developing and leading the Energy Project & Outage Management Department for TransCanada Corporation with responsibility for twenty-five generating assets totaling 8+GW in the US and Canada.

Jeff is a U.S. Navy Veteran and holds a Project Management Professional certification from the Project
Management Institute.

Jennifer Garvey serves as Director of Development at Rise Light & Power, where she is responsible for overseeing state and local permitting for the Queensboro Renewable Express.

Prior to joining Rise, Jennfer spent nearly eight years leading local and state-base engagement and strategy for New York’s first two offshore wind projects, South Fork Wind and Sunrise Wind. Before working in the private sector, Jennifer spent six years with the Town of Southampton where she served as Deputy Chief of Staff and focused on land use and environmental matters.  Additionally, she was a Co-Founder and Associate Director of the Center for Clean Water Technology at Stony Brook University.

Jennifer earned a MS in Public Relations from the Newhouse School of Communications at Syracuse University and a BS in Business Administration from SUNY Geneseo.

Jennifer Gold is the Manager, Information Systems at Rise Light & Power, where she manages the project cost control and accounting, and purchasing process.  She works with the development teams to identify & changes in the project budgets, cashflow, and variances.

Jennifer has over 20 years of experience in project management, system development, and even teaching.  She most recently worked for a consulting company managing projects focused on business and system implementations for the energy industry.  She holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Information Systems and Masters in Early Childhood (special needs). 

Jennifer has been involved in many non-profits including, but limited to, School on Wheels of MA.  She was involved in grant writing, budget management, and supporting the educational needs of families impacted by homelessness.

Mr. D’Andrea is General Counsel at Rise Light & Power, where he oversees legal, market and compliance matters for all of the company’s activities.

Mr. D’Andrea has worked in New York’s utility industry since 1987, when he began as an engineer and project manager for various power, natural gas, and general capital project improvements for regulated utility companies on Long Island and in Brooklyn. After graduating from Law School in 1995, he helped spearhead industry development projects, with a focus on integrating them into the Northeast regions’ ever-changing competitive markets. Prior to joining RISE, Mr. D’Andrea served as the Director and Senior Regulatory Counsel for TransCanada Corporation, where he was responsible for managing the legal and compliance activities of its Northeast Power and Energy businesses. Mr. D’Andrea earned a Juris Doctor from St. John’s University and a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Manhattan College.

John McDermott serves as Vice President, Technical Management at Rise Light & Power.  He is responsible for leading technical project development and project management across all technical disciplines with direct responsibility for the company’s project management office (PMO).

John has more than 30 years of experience in developing, executing, and operating energy and infrastructure projects of varying scopes and sizes in North America and internationally.  Prior to joining Rise, John was the Director of Projects & Engineering for Centrica Business Solutions developing and managing multi-functional departments with full P&L responsibility combining cross-functional competencies to build and develop teams and systems to support safety, execution, growth, and operational excellence.

John has earned an MS in Engineering Management and a BS in Electrical Engineering from New Jersey Institute of Technology as well as a Master’s Certificate in Project Management from Villanova University.  John is a licensed Professional Engineer in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Virginia, and Connecticut and holds several certifications including Project Management Professional, Certified Energy Manager, and Distributed Generation Professional.

Ken Galarneau is Director of Commercial Management at Rise Light & Power.

Galarneau has over 10 years of analytics experience in New York’s energy markets. Most recently, he consulted for NYISO market participants as Principal of KRG Energy Solutions, providing market and regulatory analysis. Previously, he worked for Key Capture Energy as Senior Manager, Market Design, where he helped the company navigate participation rules for their energy storage resource, KCE_NY_1, and spearheaded a wide range of development analysis activities. Galarneau also served as Senior Manager, Government & Regulatory Affairs at Direct Energy, focusing on the NYISO market and working to help the forward trading and wholesale operations desks understand market rule changes impacting participation and future prices. Before joining as a market participant, Ken worked for NYISO in various market monitoring roles, including as Supervisor, Mitigation Performance & Analysis, where he helped implement energy market mitigation measures and screen them for non-competitive behavior.

Ken has a Master of Science degree in Financial Engineering & Risk Analytics, and a Bachelor of Science degree in Management both from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.

Michael Stockstad serves as Vice President, Asset Management at Rise Light & Power. He is responsible for developing and implementing the Company’s asset management strategy, including overseeing the operations of Ravenswood Generating Station.

Mike has more than 30 years of power generation experience in the NYISO market, including operations and maintenance, power trading, environmental compliance, and project licensing and development.

Prior to joining Rise, Mike was plant manager for more than 1,200 MWs of combined cycle generation located in New York City. There he managed more than $2 billion of generation assets, where he was responsible for all aspects of day-to-day operations. Mike has assisted in the constructing and commissioning of multiple generation projects totaling more than 1,900 MWs and has led major capital projects to improve asset performance.

Mr. Stockstad began his career as a reactor operator in the Navy Nuclear Power program and earned a BS in Industrial management from SUNY Empire State College.

Natalia is the Office Administrator at Rise Light & Power. She facilitates fluid and timely communication and is a conduit between the team and existing as well as future partners.

Natalia brings over twenty years of personnel management and event planning experience. Her most recent work was with an established New York City property management firm holding robust portfolio of commercial as well as residential buildings. There she supported C-suite level executives and managed an office with over fifty professionals in finance, compliance, transfer and property management.

Natalia has helped organize philanthropic fundraisers (Children’s Happy Faces Foundation benefitting Ronald McDonald House of New York), team building experiences and ensured visibility and outreach at industry expositions.

She holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Baruch College, Zickin School of Business.

Roberta Zwier, PMP serves as the Vice President, Environmental Management at Rise Light & Power, where she is responsible for managing environmental permitting and compliance matters for development projects and existing assets.

Ms. Zwier brings over fifteen years of experience permitting large-scale energy projects, including eight years as an in-house Environmental Project Manager with the Williams Companies, an integrated natural gas company, where she was responsible for permitting greenfield pipeline projects in New York, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania, including the last submarine natural gas transmission project to deliver natural gas into New York City.

Roberta earned an MS in Environmental Biology from California University of Pennsylvania and a BS in Environmental Biology from Millersville University of Pennsylvania. She also holds a Project Management Professional certification from the Project Management Institute.

Sid Nathan is Vice President, External Affairs at Rise Light & Power, where he oversees government and stakeholder relations, brand marketing, media relations, and policy advocacy.

Nathan previously served New York State as the Communications Director of the Long Island Power Authority (LIPA), the second-largest public power utility in the United States. While at LIPA, Nathan fostered strategic partnerships and led initiatives to promote over 1,000 megawatts of new clean and distributed energy since 2014—including utility-scale solar, battery energy storage, and New York State’s first offshore wind farm. Previously, Nathan served as Communications Director for county and local governments in New York State. Nathan earned an M.S. in Strategic Communications from Columbia University and a B.A. in Communications and Political Science from Hofstra University.

Wil Fisher is Manager, External Affairs at Rise Light & Power, where he fosters strong and lasting relationships with community stakeholders. He has dedicated his career to building a stronger and more resilient New York City, working with communities and coalitions to advance important projects related to climate-change adaptation.

Before joining Rise Light & Power, Wil worked in New York City government, serving as Assistant Vice President at the New York City Economic Development Corporation (NYCEDC), where he negotiated public approvals for $1 billion in real estate, community development, and capital construction projects. Notably, he directed public engagement efforts for Lower Manhattan Coastal Resiliency, a suite of capital projects and master plans that will protect New Yorkers from the impacts of climate change. Wil previously worked on Hurricane Sandy reconstruction at the Mayor’s Office of Housing Recovery, managing special projects such as reconstruction of attached homes and workforce development.

Wil holds an undergraduate degree from Pepperdine University in Political Science and Latin American Studies, and is an alum of New York City’s Urban Fellows program.
